A beeutifull day in Tally a chilly start to the day which quickly warmed up to another great day of competition by both young first timers 14 in all to our seasoned atheletes Tom Blyte,Herman Ibach and Rodney Letchworth (who between the three of them have a combined age of 202 years) and all the others in between.A big commendation goes out to Kim Balwin affectionately known as KB for taking on the task of being the AD.
When Kim asked me to be one of her judges she expressed to me about to worry of lack of equipment she had also confided this to Jason Tisdale between the three of us we calculated what each of us had and Jason travel East with his truck and trailer and I came North with my towers and standards sticking out of the back of the car, this is what the highland games athletics family does for each other we help each other out, along with what we had numerous atheletes brought weiths with them "just in case".So Kimberely as I told you with all the adversity you encoutered about becoming a female AD you put on a DAMN GOOD GAME and we look for many more from you in Tally.

recap part duex,
Iwould like to thank all the atheletes, judges and volunters that came and made this an outstanding game many field records and pr"s were broken Bill Gray had a record sheaf throw at 30ft although it was the 12#bag and finally managed to get his 12 o"clock caber toss and no I was not his back judge,Herman,Tom and Rodney had to take Bill Gray and Brian Andrews under their wing and show them that OLD GUYS really ROCK,
Thanks to Ching for supplying the sound system and for all the atheletes for respecting Kim by not bringing their beer out onto the field
If I have forgotten anyone I am sorry but the game was yesterday and I sometimes have a short memory

Well said Bob.
Great job done by all who were a part of these games.
If this keeps up, we will NEVER find a field big enough for the demand of athletic attendees _________________ Thank You & God Bless!

Bob, it could not have been put in any better way. I was prepared to sleep in my car so I could throw on Saturday. But Kim and others in "our" family saw that room for me was found and I was able to sleep in a bed. So not only did I get to throw in a great game but I also didn't have to come up with bail money for my 103mph fiasco. Kim and all others associated with Tally put on a classy and very professional competition. Thankyou.
