Aother great game weather hot results were as follows I think
masters 40-44 Eric Uden
masters 45-55 Dave Darnell
masters 55 and up Frank Henry
A division Kevin Dupies
B division Clayton Funderburke ?
no sheep were injured during the day although the nearly spent more time on the field than the atheletes
A word of praise for Rich Wallace for not only being the athletic coordinator but also playing with the City of Dunedin pies and drums,Mitch Woodlief,Bill Burns and Rich Gideon kept the action moving and nanaged to have the athlitic competition done before closing ceromonies so a beverage could be enjoyed relaxingly

Thanks to everyone who helped out yesterday, especially the judges and their families and, of course, Master Consultant - Kevin Dupuis. It is amazing how much effort these people put forth to make any games successful. I had a great day and I learned a lot. I look forward to any and all comments on how best to improve Dunedin Games for the athletes. Write me at bigrwallace@yahoo.com with any suggestions and I will take them to the committee post-games-critique meeting.
I believe having a secondary field was a good thing and I intend to ask for a little more space to keep the audience (and cars) a little further away from the throwers. I invite your comments.
See you all in Tally,
Richard Wallace
A Side Note:
I just learned today that there was apparently a new record set at the Dunedin Games yesterday. Congratulations to Eric Uden, who at thirty-nine years of age, is now the youngest person ever to win a Master's Trophy. Well done, Eric! _________________ The will to win is not as important as the will to prepare to win. |

Big Congrats goes out to all the winners.
Huge Thanks to Rich Wallace, Mitch, Bob, Rich Gideon, Bill Burns and all of the other Judges and Score Keepers.
Perfect weather with an awesome crowd of spectators.

Rich Wallace is fixing this...the winner will be one of the appropriate age.
He will address this in private, and publically (or so I am told). Miscommunication, played a role here. _________________ "The demon code prevents me from declining a rock-off challenge" |

To all,
I have contacted the person who has the Dunedin results and asked him to ammend the Masters 40 results to exclude Eric, who was not qualified to win medals. I am not sure how this affects each individual's results, but if you would please contact me if the results are still not accurate, I promise absolutely that I will make it right.
The correct winner of the masters 40 will get a new sword and a plate mailed to him as soon as possible.
This error is totally my fault. Eric had called me and asked as a personal favor if he could throw in the masters with his (and my) good friend, Christian Schuele. Both Eric and Christian, for reasons I shouldn't go into, are unable to compete in more than one or so games a year.
In my inexperience, I failed to remind the judges and their aides that Eric would be ineligible for prizes. Please excuse my error and I hope this makes ammends. I hope your day at Dunedin was good, and please forgive the new-guy (me) for screwing up.
I did learn a lot, and I am getting some great suggestions from the athletes on how to make the Dunedin Games more athlete friendly. I think the Heavy Games Athletes are a geat bunch and I am proud to be associated with them.
Thank you, Tim, for reminding me of the importance of posting these results correctly.
I hope to see you next year,

Come to think of it, I think everyone I threw against were professionals, so they should be disquailified......ok- at least they threw like pros, so I think I should win my division. What's another scandal.... I will email the address for you to send my medals to. Thanks again!!!!!! It was great and many thanks to Rich and all the judges, tape pullers, score keepers, etc. |

Lenny...word is that you were using PED's for the game. Spanish Fly and viagra!!! Plus you put up your beach umbrella in the wrong place. You are disqualified! _________________ "The demon code prevents me from declining a rock-off challenge" |

I got an email from Helga von Schtupp (lily's "sibling") in East Berlin. It wants to know if it can throw with the women next year.
Thanks to Rich, I know you had a ton going on. Thanks also to the judges and the volunteers. |
